Career College of Northern Nevada is a private career college located in Sparks, Nevada, just minutes away from beautiful Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Mountains. We offer both diploma and Associate of Occupational Studies programs for students ready to begin their career or simply change their life for the better. Our campus is one of the most modern and complete educational facilities of its kind in the northern Nevada region. Designed specifically to meet the educational needs of our students, the CCNN campus consists of classroom and laboratory areas, a library, student lounge and administrative offices.

History

Career College of Northern Nevada has a long, proud history of preparing students for employment in various healthcare, technology and professional trade positions. Our main campus was originally established as Apollo Business and Technical School in December 1984 and was acquired by CareerCom Corporation in May 1986. In November 1989, CareerCom Business School was acquired by Career Colleges, Inc. and the name was changed to Career College of Northern Nevada. As we continue through the career-focused educational journey, we look forward to continuing to grow and develop our student body with a sense of confidence and pride.

Accreditation

Career College of Northern Nevada is an accredited institution. The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges is a member of the Council on Post-Secondary Accreditation. CCNN is eligible to participate in federal student financial aid programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and as administered by the U.S. Department of Education.

CCNN has been awarded the 2018-2019 School of Excellence Award from ACCSC. The ACCSC School of Excellence Award is intended to recognize ACCSC-accredited institutions that have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of accreditation as well as efforts in maintaining high levels of achievement among their students.
