Heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians (known as HVAC technicians) have a wide variety of responsibilities, so when you work in the industry, no two days are alike.

Depending upon the company you work for, you may have service calls to residential clients on one day while the next could have them installing an industrial refrigeration system.

What do they do?

  • Connecting systems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components
  • Determining energy use of the system and making recommendations to improve efficiency
