Careers in HVAC Boom – Get Ahead of the Game at CCNN

What’s a career that’s recession-proof, constantly in demand and exploding with new opportunities with each passing year? No, this isn’t a riddle. The simple answer is that the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry is – pardon the pun – heating up for those with the proper skills and training.

The numbers tell a story of staggering growth. HVAC is now an $88 billion global industry, and it has seen an annual growth rate nearing 5 percent a year for each of the past five years. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 300,000 Americans work in HVAC/R service technician jobs alone.

There’s hardly a place in the world that doesn’t need installation and regular maintenance of heating or air conditioning units. And, as the technology surrounding the HVAC industry becomes more complex, those with proper certification and understanding of this technology will be in the driver’s seat for a successful career.
